Jean-François OTT

Mr. Jean-François Ott, 45 years old, is the founding partner of ORCO in 1991. Mr. Ott served 18 months in South Korea for the French group Framatome, before a successful career as a derivatives trader in Paris. Based in Paris, he is managing the Group’s strategy, new business development, group finance issues as well as banking and investors relations.
Mr. Ott has 18 years of experience both in real estate development and business in Central Europe. He was only 26 years old when he started Orco in 1991, purchasing its first office building in Prague. Thanks to this long experience, living seven years in Prague and extensive and continuous travel in the region, Mr. Ott knows very well each country, market and main players in Central Europe. Since it’s beginnings in Prague he also launched new Orco subsidiaries in Budapest, Warsaw, Bratislava, and more recently Split, Zagreb, Moscow, Belgrade and new activities: residential buildings, extended stay hotels and luxury hotels. In twenty years he realized the acquisition, development and financing of more than 200 projects.
More than a company and a recognized experienced team, Mr. Ott, with Orco, has built a brand in Central Europe. In December 2000, Mr. Jean-François Ott succeeded the listing of its group on the Paris Euronext Stock Exchange. Indeed, most of the French institutional investors and several European investment funds are Orco Property Group shareholder.
In January 2003, Mr.Ott also finalized a new deal with the entry in the capital of Orco Hotel Group of the EBRD in order to develop the extended stay hotels segment in Central & Eastern Europe with a new brand MaMaison Residences.
In 2003, Orco purchased the IPB Real group, leader on the middle class Czech housing market and in 2004 the groups developed the Luxemburg Fonds Commun de Placement “Endurance Fund” that have been established and launched in the second quarter 2005. The Endurance Fund now owns and manages a portfolio of several office buildings, as well as a shopping center. In 2005, the group has been listed on Prague Stock Exchange and won a very important tender of hotels and leisure assets in Croatia: Suncani Hvar portfolio. Additionally the group established strongly in Germany in finalizing in 2006 the acquisition of the Viterra Development group. During the spring 2007 Orco Property Group was listed on Warsaw Stock Exchange as well as Budapest Stock Exchange.
Mr. Jean-François Ott‘s professional qualifications include: graduations in Finances and Economics from the Political Sciences Institute and the Owners Directors Program of INSEAD. He’s also the President of MaMaison Residences and Chairman of the board of Orco Hotel Group. Married with Corinne, originating from Texas, Mr. Jean-François Ott has two kids and speaks fluently French, English and German.
